So if JBE adds additional closures today, know that there's no statistical, scientific basis for it.
Where did you go to medical school and how long have you worked for the CDC? Just curious.

What does this have to do with being able to comprehend statistical data that refutes what our supposed leaders are using to scare us?

Are you incapable of analyzing the numbers or thinking for yourself?

Where did the medical experts and such go to medical school up in New York? The ones who were responsible for allowing covid positive elderly to be sent back to nursing homes?

The dumbest argument has been about protect kids... As if these kids haven't been in day cares, camps, play dates, in sports, etc. They haven't been quarantining.

No. I’m not
I am The adult that watched a bunch of kids crowd into bars and create an outbreak with several that came back home and infected older people, some of which are in the hospital.
Now these kids are either idiots or, like many on this site, just don’t believe that it’s dangerous and therefore don’t care.
I tend to believe the latter but can’t completely dismiss the former.
Either way, what is a sign in a bar or restaurant going to do to make a difference?

Not to nitpick the OP, but I think the more indicative death % would be to calculate it relative to the number of cases in each age group category (not against the total # of deaths). It would be:
<18 - 7,501 Cases (7.9%) and 4 Deaths (0.05%)
18-29 - 20,995 Cases (22.13%) and 12 Deaths (0.06%)
30-49 - 29,919 Cases (31.53%) and 188 Deaths (0.63%)
50-59 - 13,971 Cases (14.72%) and 306 Deaths (2.19%)
60-69 - 10,891 (11.48%) Cases and 611 Deaths (5.61%)
70+ - 11,445 Cases (12.06%) and 2,341 Deaths (20.45%)

quote:My purpose was to show which age groups were most impacted. A percentage of the total within that age group does not convey the overall spread of deaths. The percentages you gave is the crude death rate which means even less because we don't have good case totals. Also, the two percentage numbers would not be consistent and would be misleading.

I expect that kids will understand the risks and not crowd into the bars.
Covid is dangerous for people over 60.
These kids acting stupid and then went and spread it to people at risk.
What are you having trouble understanding?
