Celebrate your neighborhood Trick or Treat on a different night. You have a private Halloween party at someone’s house as an anchor for the event. You get a few parents to tow flatbed trailers with hay bales for seats and you make the candy circuit in an hour or so, then back to the anchor party.

That is exactly what we did in ours last week. Only one trailer but it worked great. We welcome guests of residents though, ridiculous to not allow that.

We have a small neighborhood with LONG driveways, no sidewalks, and very few streetlights so we don't get kids ToTing on Halloween. If we did I would just give out cheaper stuff instead of the bigger/nicer things we had out for the neighbor kids.

Of course my neighbor would be considered an Auntie Tom by these fine upstanding folks.

And I bet she knows all about Fatigue, and agrees wholeheartedly with Chris Rock when it comes to the two types of Black people. And she’s also the type that most of us would love have living in our neighborhoods.

Our hood brings in ppl from the outer realm, too.

As long as they don't stir up stuff, let them have fun.

You would think so, but these types are not deterred by all lights being turned off.

Growing up we had two different candy bowls.

Looking back on it, that was truly fricked up. It’s not the kids fault, they just want to have a good Halloween.

Hoa's. Finally doing some good.

They are mainly horrible, because of the power they gain, but nothing wrong with keeping your streets safe.

It’s reality, these people are trying to enjoy Halloween with the children of their neighborhood and outsiders have ruined it. We quit doing Halloween just because it wasn’t worth it anymore, people would park their cars in our front yard and it started to become very uncomfortable. Sorry but certain people know how to ruin a good thing.

I don't care about kids in costumes trick or treating. What I care about, and what they're likely talking about, is when you've got 14 black teenagers and maybe three babies and no costumes and they all are grabbing huge handfuls of your candy while trying to intimidate you. Because yeah. frick them.

I never have a problem with others coming into the neighborhood. Obviously, it shows that these people do not live in an area that is Halloween friendly or or has the number of houses that can support trick-or-treating. Maybe they live in an apartment complex or maybe their parents have lesser means. The vast majority of the kids are super excited for this one night a year experience.

dead serious. Every year there are always a handful that have the gaul to walk up to a dark house @9PM and ring the door bell. Both my kids just falling asleep. Dogs finally able to relax.

I guess because we’re in a cul de sac and the only big setup there, once we shut down they just stop coming down.

Obliviously we are 9 pages in and I'm sure all neighborhoods and visitors are different situations...

But... I grew up in the country and so did my best friend. It was a 1/8 to a 1/4 mile between houses and most of those were older people that didn't really hand out candy.

My friend's mom always took us to some suburbs to trick or treat and they were great. The owners were awesome, decorated amazingly, dressed up, some with chain saws and chased after us. I always wished we could have people come to our house and do the same thing they did.

Now I live in the country as an adult and we never get trick or treaters which is sad to me.

People should always consider the alternative, imo. It's one day a year and you get to make some kid's really happy.

Dude i cannot express to you how insane my neighborhood gets.

I see about 4 black people a week in it. Maybe less. I shite you not it’s nearly standing room only black kids on Halloween. I’m kind of shocked it’s not been national news with simply how many people show up that clearly do not live here.

I don’t believe anything too bad has happened since it has started, so it might be hard to run a story on it that doesn’t come off as “racist.” But it’s truly something to behold.

that's how my parents neighborhood is but with Latinos. It goes from 5-11pm, they hate it but what are going to do call ICE?

my neighborhood has a bit of it but we got a ton of families. 30 or so kids just on my block. Halloween is an awesome time over here.
