That’s actually not true, the last peer reviewed big sinus study done at Emory determined that 90% of the sinus infections in its study were in fact fungal infections, not viral at all

I wonder if overuse of antibacterials contributed to this. Like when a woman gets yeast infections after taking amoxicillin.

Google sinus infection.

Picture caption "bacteria in mucus causes inflammation"

"Chronic sinusitis may require antibiotics."

Another one "Sinusitis is an inflammation of the sinuses. It is often caused by bacterial (germ) infection."

Yet they are all viral?

Just looked through my desk drawer and saw a half dozen partial or full bottles of Amoxicillin. That shite was over-prescribed for years. I filled the scripts and then just self-medicated with bourbon, Advil, and rest most of the time for obviously viral infections.

If you have any kind of social network, I'd just about guarantee some folks have bottles of that shite stashed around their house. Ask them, and they'd probably just give it to you.

That said, what you're dealing with is very likely a viral infection, and Amox won't do shite except give you the placebo effect and create superbugs for the rest of us.

So you want to take an antibiotic when you don't have to because you think it will help you get better quicker?

I prefer a doctor that doesn't prescribe an antibiotic as a "fix all" solution.

That can actually weaken your immune system especially if there isn't much for the antibiotic to fight off.

I'll try Teledoc or any other options.

If all else fails, I know where I can go to get the healthcare I need.

And it's not with this new generation or the freaks who are scared I'm killing them by taking amoxicillin once a year so I don't have to be sick for a month.

but its not about you. You're doing it for everyone else. Like wearing a mask. Do you really want to kill your maw maw?

Since 2019, healthcare has become more about everyone else feeling safe, than you feeling better.
