sad i have to keep correcting the nonsense attributed to presidents.
So, presidents don’t sign spending bills?

Interesting.

Thanks for correcting all of us.

Genuinely curious when was the last time we had a fiscally responsible president? Not a single one of those sob’s in DC have shown any sliver of responsibility when it comes to money.

I was bitching about the debt when it went over 21 trillion.

No one cares. It has not made them make any life altering changes quickly. Just a slow loss of wealth over time. The media can just say that inflation is caused by Covid and they all nod their heads in unison.

We will eventually kick this can down the road and right off the financial cliff. More government intervention will be the proposed solution and the masses will agree as long as they get a small check.

You're responding to a guy who can't even grasp the concept of engine oil.

The national debt is a lost cause. It will just go up infinitely unless there is a massive financial collapse like the Depression which I guess could reset it. I would just not worry about stuff I can’t control.

But yes, let's continue to pay people not to work, and pay for their ill advised student loans.

Might as well. It's completely unsustainable anyway.

Its something people like to scream at. But ive asked this question over and over because i feel like i SHOULD care, but no one can ever convince to actually care.

What the shite does it actually matter? If 10 trillion in debt isnt enough for it to matter why does 30 trillion matter? Why does 50 trillion or 100 trillion?

Explain to me like im 5 why 30 trillion (or any other trillion matters) if 20 trillion didnt matter compared to zero dollars in debt.

To be fair, Trump and basically every President since Reagan has been an atrocious offender on national spending. It was the thing that pissed me off the most about Trump.

The real problem is that the executive branch no longer controls this...
All they can ask for is more.

These government organizations go to Congress.

Congress should be lining items from the budget left and right.

“For the first time”

That will be the case most, if not every, single year.
