FWIW, this was inevitable as soon as that big tax bill went through. Anyone who knows how to calculate those things told the world the idea it would "pay for itself" was a total sham. COVID spending just accelerating it, and peoplpe love to bitch about paying people not to work without realizing the VAST majority of COVID spending went straight to stock market.
