The Kurds have him as a war criminal. He was in a fire fight against the Kurds the day before. They do not use The Constitution and American judicial system. They have their own.

He was a CJ major here. Is that ironic?

Eating the roast beef in the fridge that smells a little rotten is a bad decision. Joining ISIS is
way beyond that.

If only ISIS had ever been mentioned in the media in VA so he could know they are bad.

He didn't "defect". He surrendered because he was about to be killed.

What should we do with this POS?

I care almost as much about the future of this a-hole as I do about the cause of DTL's death.

Some posters have referred to Bowe Bergdahl, but he isn't out of the woods yet. I see a trip to Ft Leavenworth in his future.

This idiot is similar in some respects to John Walker Lindh, but possibly not as bad. In a plea bargain deal, Lindh got 20 years, no parole.

I doubt this new idiot ends up getting life in prison or the death penalty. With any luck, he'll have an "accident" while still in Kurdish custody.

Could be. Or it could have been his first opportunity to get away. We'll never know the truth.

But I'll play along with the assumption that he surrendered because he was about to be killed... Kill him anyway?

Not the best way to encourage defection or surrender.

It's an option.

18 U.S. Code § 2381 - Treason

This is the OT, we're all qualified (or should be) to make these decisions.
