American Airlines is making it very clear: Insects, goats and hedgehogs cannot be brought on planes as emotional support animals.

quote:

"We support the rights of customers, from veterans to people with disabilities, with legitimate needs for a trained service or support animal," American Airlines said in a press release. "Unfortunately, untrained animals can lead to safety issues for our team, our customers and working dogs onboard our aircraft."

quote:

Emotional support animals provide comfort to those suffering from emotional or psychological conditions such as anxiety, depression and panic attacks. They're typically allowed to fly on planes for free if they meet certain requirements.

Mrs Füt’s emotional support animal is nicknamed “Bulldog”.

It’s neither a bull nor a dog but American doesn’t stop me from travelling with it.

My buddy has a service dog and it has saved his life since his suicide attempt. He really cares for his dog and it gives him a purpose in life. I have issues and seriously questioned taking the easy way out myself after I was wounded but I’m passed that now. My daughter and her diagnosis with cancer woke my arse up and acted as my savior. In saying that this support animal shite is getting out of control!

WTF is objectionable about hedgehogs? They're small and seem pretty inoffensive.

I have an emotional support gerbil. Let’s just say it rides carry-on.

I clicked on the thread and the ad to the side was "Do you qualify for a support animal" or some shite like that to get your pet "certified".

Seriously - if you are unable to venture out in public without the accompaniment of an animal; perhaps you should just stay home.
