Fun times

What was supposed to be a flight to paradise turned into a smelly debacle when a problem arose with the plane’s restrooms.
quote:
A woman aboard an American Airlines flight to Kona, Hawaii, from Phoenix said passengers were being asked to urinate in plastic bags and bottles. She took video of a flight attendant asking her to go in a plastic bag.
quote:
The woman who shot the video was too embarrassed to go on camera, but she told 12 News there was an announcement during the flight, telling passengers there was a problem with the bathrooms.
quote:
American Airlines confirmed there were issues on the flight. However, the airline said the plane took off with working bathrooms. It was later discovered a diaper had been flushed down one of the toilets, causing the problems, according to American Airlines.

The airline released a statement, saying in part: "We are very sorry for the trouble this caused the 187 passengers on flight 663. Our customer relations team will be reaching out to all of the passengers on this flight to extend our apologies. At American, lavatories must be working properly prior to departure. If an American flight is in the air, and all lavatories become inoperative, the flight will divert to the nearest suitable airport in order for maintenance to rectify the situation. Due to the location of the aircraft, the flight continued to its intended destination. The issue was subsequently rectified upon arrival in Kona, and our flight returned to Phoenix as scheduled."

Airlines are turning into cruise lines.

I mean, what were they supposed to do? Some dumbass flushed a diaper. They're half way to Hawaii at that point, not like there's a place to land.

This isn't their fault. Some idiot flushed a damn diaper.

What an excellent opportunity to shite on the floor of an airplane...

roll down the window and pee like every other traveler who doesn't have time to stop.

As much as I hate American, the retard that stuffed a diaper down the toilet is to blame.

Agreed- it’s not the ideal situation but really what is the airline supposed to do?

Time to update that safety video to include "don't flush diapers down the toilet"...makes more sense than constantly reminding me that the rules haven't changed about smoking on a plane for the past 40 years.

I hate airlines as much as the next guy but this one isn't on them. Look around and find who had the infant/toddler and lynch them for being an a-hole.

Make everyone with a kid stand up, find the culprit, and shame them

Not the airline's fault from a glance. Some fool flushed a freaking diaper and ruined the toilet, which presumably was working pre-flight. Because they're over the middle of the ocean, the closest stop was the destination. Offer some coupons and apologies, but there's not much the airline could do mid-flight.

Yeah but the person who flushed diaper is probably relatively poor. Cant sue them for the emotional agony this caused. But American has deep pockets so we will make it their fault.

What kind of a dipshite would flush a diaper? I doubt seriously that the dumbass would do it at their house. And frick these people who record everything. What was AA supposed to do in this situation? It’s just a money grab because of muh inconvenience. Rant over.
