My stock portfolio is made up of capital invested in business that are in business to make money. I demand that they try to make as much as possible so my investment makes a return.

Believing that working class Americans should have some protection isn't communist, you little pussy.

Unless you're willing to do the job, frick your demands. Your dividends are not more important than the people that work there.

The only reason those people have a job is because the business owners can make money off their labor. They get a fair exchange: time for wages. If the owners can make more money with robots, their time won't be needed anymore, so they can go sell their labor to someone else.

If they expect to get paid to not work, frick their demands and your communist outlook.

They have protection. We the taxpayer pay billions of dollars for the overregulation to ensure they are protected.

What they shouldn't have is the guarantee that they get paid when they're no longer needed. That is communist.

protection from what?

its a free society, the company can hire who they want, fire who they want. the working class Americans can go find a job at another employer at any time.

again protection from what?

should we get rid of computers and go back to type writers? should we not innovate at all to bring cost of manufacturing down? where is the line drawn

and yea im a pussy for believing in free market economics
big bad key board warrior.....typical of commies.

we are both wasting our time. Wade believes that labor should be protected....right out the communist playbook 100% word for word.

prolly considers himself a conservative too.

This board will look much different in a couple of years when AI slashes white collar jobs like Freddie Kruger.

I suspect a lot of white collar baws will have much different opinions then.

AI will only help make many white collar jobs more efficient it wont replace them. some sure...but advances in tech have always done that.

same people crying now, cried when robots were put on the automotive assembly line....we survived and are thriving.

technology evolves as does manufacturing...it becomes more and more efficient. its the only way for a business to survive.

The dual rush for more and better automation and AGI is the rush to create a self-sustaining manufacturing and supply system in order to create a post-scarcity society. The majority of people simply aren't mentally and emotionally built for that.

Another false equivalence.

The ferriers and carriage builders didn't get replaced by robots, idiot.
