Use eBay and find sellers with free shipping.

Amazon sucks.

Same here.

I've tried to return an item that was about $12 and they processed the refund and told me to keep the item rather than send it back. Felt like I was doing something wrong.

yes

happened several times

recently, I did the thorough inspection of the mailbox and indeed, there it was, wedged into position, no new mail would make it drop down

that wasn't the case for a few other times...I believe the guy just marked it, so as not to get into trouble by the boss....you know quotas and all that rot...

USPS meeting deadlines. It's like when McDs ask you to pull up at the drive through window when there is no car behind you. The timer says they're fast but not really. Fooling the man

This happens fairly regularly with me. I'd blame USPS, but they are what they are (incompetent) and everybody knows it. So I blame Amazon because they built their service on 2-day shipping with the likes of UPS and Fed-Ex because they were reliable, then when it came time to cut costs, they went with the unreliable, cheaper service but already had everybody in bed with them. Bezos = genius.

For the person who said "drive to amazon", there is a warehouse about 10 minutes from my house, I could do that easily.

One of the few good things about living in Frankfort, I get almost everything from Amazon in one day.

USPS doesn't know how to do this stuff. I'm pretty sure they scan it as delivered when they come into possession of it, not when it's actually delivered.

Not true. I'm signed up for notifications on packages being delivered to my address and they're spot on when it changes from 'out for delivery' to 'delivered'.

Likely fault of USPS. Actually since it was in the mailbox, I guarantee it was the USPS fault. They are the worst. You may or may not receive your package tomorrow. Regardless, complain to Amazon about USPS. I have several times already. I usually get free shite from complaining, but that's not the point. I want them to stop using USPS.

Its in the hands of the USPS. They are not really good at delivering stuff and their tracking system is a complete joke.

Had it happen, because the mail man is a fricking moron. Not Amazon's fault.

Complain; they will send you a new one

Then go get the original package we know you're stashing and sell it on eBay

Me too.

In fact, most of my Prime purchases recently have not been delivered within two days, as promised.

USPS lying to cover up the fact that that they did not fulfill their commitment to Amazon or to you. It will show up late, but it's up to you to make sure Amazon hears about it.

Bump for update. Did not come today with USPS either. If it doesn't show up by around 5pm, I will be calling Amazon.

I had this happen to me when I was living in my old apartment. USPS said it was delivered but it wasn't in my mailbox. Figured it would probably be delivered the next day. Nope. Apparently the mailman couldn't fit it in my mailbox so he left it with the girls at the front desk. Neither the mailman nor the bubble heads at the front desk decided it would be a good idea to contact me.
