Moronic take.
I’ve worked from home for a decade. No issues with productivity. I do wish I had a local office, but only because it would be nice to see people in person sometimes. I’d probably get less work done in office.

feel like people who fight for working at home are lazier than those that actually show up. Just my opinion.
Your Opinion is shite. As always.

frick that.
So many wasted hours sitting in the office all day every day as a corporate giant peon. Find another company.

Glad to know everyone will spend the first three hours drinking coffee, pooping and visiting.

I mean, do you have some super human control over your bowels that others don’t have?

If you have a WFH job you're first in line to he replaced by AI.

I dont understand wanting to work from home except to try to do less work and get away with more.
I’m 100% remote. Not wasting time commuting and listening to small talk are huge benefits. I go to the gym in the morning and do laundry or prep dinner at lunch.
I do feel like I need to make more of an effort not to isolate and get weird. I miss the human connection and genuinely loved some of my old coworkers.

Well, that’s just not true.

lol. What do you do for a living? Our economy is based on “playing on a computer all day”. I close multi-million deals “playing on a computer”.

I actually get out of the house and see the world. The work from home AND work in an office model has zero appeal to me whatsoever so I actually have no do in the fight. But I have noticed that evertime one of these threads pop up a bunch of people defend WFH to death. I find it interesting.

AI is only as good as the human feeding it the query. You must not have tried using it.

Meh. It’s just a job. I don’t tie my self worth to it. We can’t all be plant baws.

Of course they do. This is retarded.
No one spends 8 straight hours doing work at home for someones else's company, with only a short lunch break. No one. They get up late, or stay up late to work. They run errands. They watch sick kids. They take breaks, or do things outside while the sun shines, etc
Its a lot like home schooling. Kids at school have a full 7 hour schedule. Kids at home go multiple on field trips, travel, have play dates, sleep in, stay up late. But theyre not doing at home, what they would be doing with multiple teachers and staff supervising. Its simply human nature
Because if they did in the office what they do at home, they would be in the first round of cuts when the inevitable axe falls. And they know that. And its why companies are forcing them back into the office. Otherwise why would they care? And why are people pissed off about it, if it is no different than what they do from 9 to 5 at home?

I'm a consultant sitting in Louisiana and working from home almost 100% since covid. Software work. I actually like to travel to customer sites some, but way past the point of wanting to do it even 50% of the time. I also do some work for Amazon. There are going to be lots of teams where this won't apply, including mine.

I wish we could as a society move to 4 working days of 10 hours instead
