If someone goes through all that trouble every week and thinks it's worth it, more power to them. That sounds miserable to me
I know people who rent studio apartments near their office during the week and have houses on Lake Anna they spend weekends at
That actually sounds a lot like what career management consultants do. It'd just be like your client is permanent and in D.C.

Those people are called “renters.”
I’m sure homeowners in Seattle are as happy as pigs in shite.
Some of them. Some of the ones that don't plan on selling are pretty vocal.

There is a 7:25am Delta flight out ATL to DCA. The entire flight is US Gov workers flying to DC but living in ATL because they get a pay bump. They all rent a condo/Airbnb it for 4 days. Fly back Thursday night. They work 4 ten hour days and have Fridays off. They do this so when they retire, they retire on DC pay but live in ATL or other cheap cities. Pretty insane and a bunch of BS if you ask me.
This isn't my cup of tea but there are people on this board who commute 60-90 mins each way in a car to work.
I would much rather the ATL-DCA Monday-Thursday trip than spending 10+ hours in car commuting each week.

Amazon, the Washington Post and Bezos are CIA fronts, so this makes sense.
