Just put some of your Vagisil on it. If you want the full effect, throw a blanker around your shoulders and sit on the couch looking all pitiful and helpless.

I stepped on a rusty nail last year that went through my shoe and into my foot. Not only did they give me a shot but also an antibiotic. I think the antibiotic was because it went through my shoe and I might have rubber from the sole in my foot. At least that's what I think they said.
Anyway, just go tomorrow morning and get the shot to be safe.

Yes, but almost certainly not from this.
Go get a tetanus shot tomorrow or sometime next week.
Do it once every 10 years, or if it’s been more than 5 and you hurt yourself. Tetanus is a pretty slow-reacting bug, and the vaccine is pretty darn good. Your risk of problem is low, but the actual damage (both bodily and monetarily) are high if you put it off too long and are unlucky.

Did something somewhat similar last week. It was touch and go for awhile but I feel I’m past the rough stage now. Starting to see some improvement today. You’ll most likely be aight.

My brother-in-law cut his finger on a lawn mower blade. Went to urgent care and still ended up with an infection. Two operations later, and close to losing the finger, they managed to get rid of the infection.

You can get a tetanus shot (usually free with insurance) at a pharmacy. Maybe you've had one and forgot. If you live in Louisiana the pharmacist can look that up too.
You need to get one within 72 hours, sooner the better.

As others have stated, go get your shot tomorrow. Don’t mess around with that.

I had this problem a few years ago and looked up the data to see. In a country of like 350m people, there’s an absurdly low rate of tetanus infection. The myth doesn’t match the infection risk.
