Why was this convicted criminal waving a gun at people at 12:30 in the morning and NOT expecting something to happen??????

So he didn't say they should let the perp roam needlessly.
So yes, I was right.
I never said anything of the sort. Also, What does this have to do with with me "making things up"? So, no, you aren't right.
Do you actually try to come off looking stupid or does it happen naturally?

It's like a shooting didn't happen.
Seriously.....try or natural. You're a fricking moron.

New angle from store owner.
Goodness... From that vantage point the coppers look much more I control IMO. Just held the gun inches from his chest and boom boom.

Yes he had a gun. He was waving at Simone and told them to get off the property... Sorry folks but maybe the store owner should not had let him sell cd's in front of his store and all this would be a non issue.

Headed to BR right now. Son has orientation Thursday and Friday. Hope some dumb SJW shite doesn't go down on campus. I'd hate to have to bust out the old man strength.
You might want to avoid the union and free speech alley tomorrow.

What? If they are able to get on top him and restrain him, that completely diffuses the situation.
Nah bro. Pulling their weapons would have totally worked.
He and the other poster have gone full fricktard.

watch it again then. They clearly didn't have control of his right arm.

One of them is a better decision. At best the cops miscalculated their ability to restrain him and put themselves in more danger as a result. It also led to a struggle and deadly force. At a minimum there should be a discussion on what, if anything, could or should have been done differently.
The fact that so many of your are against even having the conversation because you're going to support the police actions regardless is asinine. When their decision completely failed to restrain him and resulted in the use of deadly force you don't get to ignore any alternatives.

So they should have allowed a man with a gun to roam freely about the parking lot

Your logic is so damn dumb. So you get a call about someone with a gun and your tactic is to go and get on top of them with the thought of "if" I can do this, I will diffuse the situation?
Don't quit your day job, you wouldn't last long in law enforcement
Go back and read my previous posts if you want to see my explanation of why I think it was right for them to tackle him in this specific situation.
By the way, you're always working in "ifs." It isn't guaranteed that any approach works exactly the way you want it to.

They just showed the mother of his oldest kid on fox, she says that his kids depended on him on a daily basis. Gimmie a fricking break, guy was in jail for almost 10 years
I agree completely, and if he wasn't shot and killed, he would've been in jail for another 20 for illegal possession of a fire arm by a felon, resisting arrest... And she states he was out there "not bothering anyone", yet the reason why the police were there in the first place was probably because he was shoving he illegal gun in peoples faces. The dude was a POS and I haven't even tacked on that he was probably peddling pirated DVDs (is this why the FBI is involved?)

immediately before the shot is fired, the restraining cop is pushed backwards a bit.

quote:Now I get it. So I saw in another thread that his rap sheet goes all the way to 1997 and includes the fact he was a registered sex offender. Is that true?
The owner lets him hock CD's and DVDs out front. Apparently he was a little over zealous in his selling techniques and used his firearm to strong arm some customers into buying his merchandise. They felt threatened and called cops. Cops show up situation escalates. They tase him he still doesn't comply. Then the video.
I can understand why he fought. He is a felon with a firearm and knows that he is facing time if they find it, which they would have.
Also, if he did actually try to pull his firearm on two cops than all bets are off at that point.
BTW I'm kind of shocked that the taser didn't knock him completely out.

Had so many run ins with the cops he was a veteran of getting the taser, just shook it off.

I never said that, idiot. you're quoting someone else.
Now you look even more foolish than before.

Talking about this before you try to backtrack.

He was also pretty fat. Not sure what that does to taser effectiveness
