Nobody pays attention and starts filming till things escalate.
That's why you never see the officers calmly asking a person to step out of a vehicle or to comply and place their hands behind their back. The cameras come out after they've been asked 6 times and " sir I need you to show me your hands" or "sir I'm going to detain you till we figure this out" has turned into shouting and an escalated tone " SHOW ME YOUR HANDS!" Then cops are called aggressive and accused of roid rage.

Key word is appears but you have idiots in this thread using the word "clearly" when it's not. The cop says the dude has a gun, proceeds to draw, then say he's going for the cop's gun when you can't tell what's going on with the right hand of the perp after he had it by his pocket.
I am not picking sides and won't get caught up in it but I just wanted to point out how people just make shite up in something they are so emotionally invested in and sheep run with it.

Just so I'm clear, you want the cops to use non-lethal methods (after the taser didn't work) on a 300 pound man who when pinned, tries to reach for his gun to kill them? Makes perfect sense. Idiot

Maybe. It really must be a tiny gun tho. Like flip phone size. Only in the frame briefly but from that one frame it doesn't look like a gun. I'm sure it will all come out eventually either way

That was a big dude, maybe he was just stronger than the cop. Hell, he got taxed TWICE and didn't go down.
If he's going for a gun and may get it, there really aren't any other options.

Right. It looked like a straight talk style phone. Didn't seem like a gun to me unless it was one of those female .22 calibers or something.
