Definitely live where you work. I have lived several places in dfw over time, enjoyed all of them.

Make what you do every day as pleasant as possible and drive farther for what you do less often rather than the other way around. There's no reason for you to live more than a 10 radius from your job because you will just be driving by nice places to live every day.

Take a trip out and look for yourself, seems like it is about a 10 drive

I lived in uptown and commuted to Fort Worth my first 6 months in Texas. I ended up quitting that job. But if I worked in Ft Worth I would live in Ft Worth or just live halfway like Grapevine, Las Colinas, etc.

Dallas is way overrated and that daily commute would age you rapidly, make the best of where you're at, there are good schools in Ft. Worth, look at Keller

Yeah if you mean the Alliance airport then I’d look in Keller if you’re worried about school districts for kids. Ft. Worth > Dallas but Ft Worth schools (not suburb ISDs) aren’t great. Keller/Trophy Club/Grapevine/Colleyville are on the Fort Worth side, north of 30 closer to the Ft Worth/Alliance airport and have good school districts.

No. Too far of a drive and the commute traffic sucks.

Disclaimer: I haven’t read the whole thread.

My daughter and SIL chose to live in Keller. You might investigate the commute from there as well. Seems really nice.

Frick that drive everyday Baw

I live in North Dallas and have friends in Ft Worth who love it.

A 40-50 mile drive at rush hour if going to be two hours and $9-$10 in tolls.

Move close to work

I've only heard people say its not a bad place and better living here than visiting. Up until 5 years ago, it was very affordable which gave it a coupe of extra points. Its not cheap anymore. Does anybody say they truly love Dallas?

First off, if you're working at Alliance, you will hate life driving from Dallas to there.

50_tiger has it right. Saginaw and Argyle would be good spots. Lived in Flower Mound for most of my life and that would be a solid place as well, only like 30 minutes to Alliance and you're in the middle of everything in terms of distance

Or in the middle of nowhere.
