Almost 90,000 sex abuse claims filed in Boy Scouts bankruptcy

The class action lawyers advertise the hell out of this on late night TV, in between the asbestos and talcum powder commercials. Once in a while they throw in an HIV drug class action just for variety.

That’s really sad.
I never did scouts but one of my coworkers’ boys does it. They’ve been trying to talk me into bringing my son. Seems like a great opportunity for my son to get experience outdoors and to meet some likeminded kids his age.
But these allegations are scary. That’s an enormous number.

Good.
When I was a kid, it seemed like I had a sense for clubs and/or organizations that are now being accused of sex abuse, etc.
For some reason I always thought there was something weird about alter boys.
I went to Catholic school for 3 years and it just seemed like the kids who wanted to be alter boys for Wednesday mass were strange.. Maybe that's why..
And then the boy scouts. It just seemed like there were just certain types of kids that gravitated to it.
I am not saying everyone who were alter boys or in the boy scouts were weird, I am just saying that I always had weird feelings about those groups
