Save the mid 80s for mid-October when the rest of the fricking country is picking out pumpkins and wearing fall clothes

Meh, it'll moderate back to more normal weather come early March. High pressure in Bahamas keeping the heat over the SE.
Not too humid at least and it's been breezy to keep it pretty comfortable.

I much prefer this to subfreezing temps.
I hate winter.

A couple of guys in the 2k Thread are suggesting another cold blast in the next few weeks.

And I have a horse who turns straight fire breathing dragon in the cold.

You in Kennebunckport? We were just in Portland last weekend - didn't pack for that overnight snow Saturday and left my boots at home. Had a great time though.

Wouldn't be odd, especially for the Midwest and the northern bits of Texas into North La. I'd expect it to fade before it gets down to SELa, at least in terms of a freeze.

85 and dry would be an ideal summer

You need me to come over and manhandle that pony for you?

A quick update on what early March Weather may bring. Our Teleconnection Indices suggest a significant Northern Hemispheric Pattern change may be lurking with an extremely negative Arctic Oscillation and an extremely negative North Atlantic Oscillation suggesting a Bridge to Bridge Blocking Regime impacting North America. The GEFS Ensembles are 'sniffing out' this pattern change that may bring a return of "colder" weather across much of North America including where we live in Texas. It's Rodeo time in Houston and I expect both chili and chilly weather may be in the cards...
There's the post Duke. I haven't learned all the Met lingo yet and won't attempt to embarrass myself.
