60 % of my docket is insurance defense over different practice areas. I am not complaining about either. Insurance companies are there to make money. So are attorneys.

It doesn’t surprise me that you don’t know what the word “premise” means.

Your premise is that the claim was truly worth $500k to begin with.

I agree with you, but the OP is doing what most attorneys do which is paint one side in a negative light while taking zero responsibility

Wat? The roof naturally wears out over time due to weather and aging.

Insurance is meant to cover catastrophic damage from unforeseen events.

You know your roof has a limited life and must be replaced after 15 to 18 years. You should keep a sinking fund for house repairs and replacements.

Insurance should not cover replacing your roof because it is 20 years old now and you were too dumb to save up for the replacement cost.

Idiots like you drive up insurance costs because you expect it to cover everything when that is not the intended purpose.

this is now the third round of tort reform in Louisiana in the last 5 years focusing on claims and litigation.

The first time someone asks to look at the actuarial and rate-setting side, you guys are losing your mind.

Just got a bill for my homeowners insurance. Increase of 32% from last year.

I'm really trying to be professional about it, but there's a high probability I'll let some choice words fly.
