Buddy of mine used to hang out at Mama's Place. Not a bad dive bar, decent lunch.

Pretty sure we saw Vanilla Ice perform there.

I sold merch for him at Kenny’s Key West the day his daughter KeeLee was born. That’s all I really know about Metairie nightlife.

Massive late 80’s - early 90’s flashbacks reading this thread. Especially my Metairie Road runs.

Martine’s
Oscar’s
Bandi’s (now Winston’s Pub and Patio)
Metry Cafe’
Pat Gillen’s
Electric Cocktail (Bonnabel Bar)
Mama’s Place
Swamp Room
Bottom Line (now Spitale’s)
Coach’s Corner
Also, a couple of Lakeview shout outs to Lots A Luck and Homedale Inn

Their radio ads on B97 still echo in my brain : “I’ll see ya there ! I’ll make ya famous !!”

Sadly, I remember this. It was for Kenny’s Key West.

Risky Business. It was in an office building on the service road near Severn if I recall correctly. Used to have live bands.

Surprisingly, this place had a good deli/lunch place. Our office used to go there frequently. I forget the deli name but it was inside Legends if I remember correctly.
