I know a guy that bought in 5 plus years ago. He crushed it and bought a house with some of his profits.

if i come off as defensive, my apologies. i guess you could be right in saying that.

but after defending something for nearly two years now maybe you could understand my perspective as well.

It was a tongue in cheek reference, mainly because Satoshi is an unknown(s).

He is still holding a lot of bitcoin though.

If you believe it is being bought as a crypto-currency and not just trading coins between speculative investors.

I do think there will be plenty of people still making money. I just wonder when bitcoin becomes what it is supposed to be.

Ethereum is the future if you believe in the blockchain technology making disruptions across industries.

Possibly. Or reality hits next week when popularity dies off and money pouring in slows.

It's funny how regulation and the realization that bitcoins are extremely traceable have added value to the crypto-currency.

Its crazy about a bubble. No one sees it while it is happening.

Don't feel too bad. There are plenty of investment opportunities out there that crash and burn too. The trick is having a crystal ball that accurately tells you when to buy and when to gtfo. Unfortunately that doesn't exist.

Back in 1992 I seriously considered investing a frickton of money in AOL. In 1998 I was really wishing I'd done it. In 2000 I was really glad I hadn't. Now it's nearly 2018 and wish I'd spotted Amazon.

Stuff like this happens all the time, we just always regret the winners we passed on and forget the losers we passed on.

My inlaws invested heavily in WalMart in the mid-late 80's and still hold some stock.

They also invested in Emu's.

Instead of paying cash for my truck I kept the cash, invested in bitcoins, and now I'm an OT baller. Stupid Ford Credit made me rich!

I know a few who have made millions.

Do you not believe that wealth has been generated?
