Unless one of the non-select baws got pulled for a select pinch runner, then your story doesn't add up.

2 non-select batters drive in 3 runs which means bases were cleared. A runner is on 3rd and then 3 straight select batters fail to drive home the tying run. My basic intramural playground league baseball math says that the 2nd of those 2 non-select batters would've been the runner left stranded on 3rd.

I don't.

You are too invested in U10 baseball. Get a life, and stop doing this to your kid.

we won the city baseball championship in eighth grade, pitcher threw a no-hitter, I was the catcher, after the last pitch I ran to the mound a grabbed his glove and slammed the ball in it, coach took us to Pizza Hut after the game, I asked the pitcher what he did with the ball, he said "what ball?" we've been friends all of this time, played hs sports together, I've never once heard him bring up that game

That's crazy! I can't believe the coaches would do that to Xxayvier and Stylez.

Ummm…my kid plays travel baseball, basketball, football and rides horses. I can’t think of but two kids on his team that doesn’t play other sports. So just like most of these travel ball bashing post, you don’t know shite about what you are talking about.

Oh yea, and by the way, he also played rec baseball this year. He’s 10 and made the 11u all star team. His 10u travel team would beat the ever loving shite out of any of the 11u all star I have seen so far.

pretty much how my kids teams are. all play mutiple sports and seen plenty that play rec and travel.

This board is ate teh frick up with the travel ball bashing, mainly from parents that never played a sport in their life or from parents that do not have competitive kids.

The funny ones are the ones that think their kid is gonna play rec and suddenly make the high school team which is laughable

Where does your kid play?

Seems like some places want the kids to play only travel ball 10 months out of the year, other places only play for a few months and the kids play other sports as well.

I think he meant somewhere in between. My daughter works her arse off for 12U Softball on a travel team in Fall and Spring and League in the Summer.

She gets upset when she strikes out or makes an error. She's happy when they win. She's sad when they lose.

But 5 minutes after we're in the car on the way home, all she cares about is getting snacks and a drink. Then she wants to talk about what we're doing the rest of the day if they went 0-2 or the next day if they won the championship.

Competition is great... but harping on the results is frivolous for adults and harmful as hell when projected upon the child competitors.

The cringe in this comment is palpable.

If those select kids would've just had 2 more private lessons per day from ex-major leaguers they would be on par.

Don't know what the frick you're talking about but I will say this...

My kids rec ball team lost in the playoffs because one of the travel ball kids didn't show up because he had travel ball "practice".

He was up to pitch being the second pitcher on the team. Kid pitching walked all opposing team's runs in. I realize one kid doesn't make the team, but when you're depending on the kid to pitch and he doesn't show, it sucks.

If you commit to a team, fricking show up... Don't skip a playoff game for your other team's practice.

i agree. Way too many parents dont understand that you have to be a parent and support your kids. Cant make them hate the sport. Harping on negativity will do that.
