All of the science behind the lockdowns is opinion based.

Experts are cheaper to buy than politicians.

When I saw this thread...

Is slowing the virus even desirable? Would the virus burn out more quickly without these social controls? Would the death toll then be lower?

Just to explain this comment.

Illness that are too deadly burn out quickly, and ultimately are less serious because of that. You’ll never have an Ebola Pandemic because it kills people too quickly. Covid appears to be fairly contagious, but not that lethal.

My concern is that we’re artificially prolonging the epidemic, by keeping the rates of transmission lower.
