arcalades doesn't the jury have to pick one? How can you be charged with second degree and then manslaughter? I am under the legally uneducated thinking that they include ALL charges that they THINK they can possibly get and the jury picks one ... if you leave out say manslaughter and go for only murder, it's murder or nothing. This way there is a lesser charge option.
