He wasn’t criminally convicted, at least not yet - though he may get slapped with perjury.
I’ll go ahead an answer my previous question as well - the precedent being maintained is that if you outright refuse to comply with court orders compelling you to produce documents in a lawsuit, you risk a judgement by default.
