You’re so thoroughly gaslit and committed to the cause it’s not worth mine or anyone else’s time trying to explain to you how judicial precedent works.

Well at least one of you has some balls to speak some truth. I couldn't give a frick about Alex Jones, but this should be terrifying to any normal person.

This is similar to the J6 arrests/punishments. It is sending a message to anyone who would dare speak out or protest against the current regime.

You soft brains need to spend like 2 seconds thinking.

Jan 6th prosecutions: Mostly Federal Justice Department led pursuits of people that illegally rioted and occupied the capital and some that plotted an insurgency

Alex Jones Trial: Guy that made up a bunch of slanderous bullshite that led to death threats and constant harassment of victims, was caught redhanded admitting he made it up, admitted on the stand he lied, was awarded damages by a jury of his peers.

Now, tell me you are capable of seeing the difference in context here???

What’s your point?

Yet not a single weapon was carried in this attempted "overthrow".

Jones is a POS and it makes me sick that people link his sick crap to Conservatives.

A billion dollar judgement is ridiculous and continues the narrative that our judicial system is a joke.

Actual murderers don't get judgements like that.

russian collusion much? But yeah i guess offering $1 million to a guy to lie so you can impeach the rightfully elected president isnt a coup attempt.

I’d say the biggest piece of shite is the guy lying about little kids getting murdered.

It’s likely based off revenue figures for his show and the products he hawks.

Alex Jones has made a lot of money over the past 10 years, at least in part, because of his sandy hook “coverage” and opinions.

I certainly doubt the revenue attributable to SH is close to a billion, but it is right and just that he is stripped of all revenue that could be reasonably tied to his SH crusade.

Anyway, this website has become a fricking trash can. That people would make Alex fricking Jones a martyr and the majority of this site would agree with that after the shite he has pulled is pathetic.

What a cesspool this place has become.

Interesting you believe this is justification. I seem to recall a deranged leftist caught in front of a conservative supreme court justices house directly because of what Democrats and CNN members said. I'm assuming you'll support a $10 billion lawsuit against those people, correct?

Yea I have never been an AJ fan but it's pretty clear this is biased. If it were a true simple defamation case they would have kept the figures realistic.

Right. I'm sure if his last name was Biden, Cuomo, Anderson, etc...there might not even be a thread on this.
Are you insinuating that Jones represents conservatives? I dispute that.

quote:

What is the justification for that amount?

We will see what the jury says their reasoning was most likely. I’m guessing it was related to his revenue during the time of his tortious conduct.
It could get reduced on appeal.

because he talked bad once about the left.

I don’t think this has anything to do with anything he said against the left. It was simply a mean spirited campaign that largely focused on calling the victims of a tragic event fakes to the extent they were harassed, threatened, and assaulted. It got ratings and results, which got him loads of money so he continued it ad naseum

Considering how people bought into Q and other conspiracy theories so quickly before then, It’s not a surprise.
