I’m conservative as they come but I don’t think Baldwin should be charged with anything. This was the prop woman’s job. There is no way actors check their weapons for live ammo every time they fire them on a set. Having live ammo on a set should not even be a possibility.
A disclaimer isn't need. Conservatives are allowed to have common sense.

C’mon guys. Alec spent a lot of time in the heat filming movies, we can’t possibly take his future away from him because of something like this.

I stand behind Alec Baldwin.
I ONLY stand behind Alec Baldwin

This is that White Privilege that Baldwin and his Progressive ilk are always talking about. Notice that usually involves whites that are on one side of the political spectrum.

Some people can buy their way out. Meanwhile, some (the Biden crime family for example) people are so completely above the law as to never once be charged for their numerous crimes.

order to avoid further litigious distractions by Mr. Baldwin and his attorneys
So they got fed up that he was going to appeal things and basically just said “ok, you win, we will take a charge away”

In other words he’s paying family some big bucks

Shouldn`t he also be charged with negligent homicide since he is the owner and director of the film and hired knowingly incompetent people to save money.
He also took no action when previous gun safety issues arose prior to the shooting.
Sure sounds like negligence of the management that led up to he shooting.

wonder why he cant be charged with whatever version was in play at the time of the shooting.
Apparently the older firearm enhancement statute required the firearm to be used brandished/used in the commission of a felony. And while some of Baldwin's acting rises to that level, apprently he wasn't trying to commit one (or the DA doesn't think he can prove that) when Baldwin pulled the trigger.

Since reading comprehension is not your strong suit. I will spell it out so even you can understand (maybe).
1. The Involuntary Manslaughter charge was not dropped.
2. The Firearm Enhancement to the Involuntary Manslaughter charge was dropped. It was dropped due to that fact that the law creating the charge was not changed till after the incident took place.

Yeah, when I hear these kind of statements it makes me think the opposite, kind of like starting a sentence with, "I'm not racist, but...
Why even say that, who are you trying to convince?

Why would he do time?
Because a gun he was operating fired and killed someone. Weren’t you just whining about gun control laws?
You progressives are a fricking stupid bunch.

Hopefully they’ll drop the whole thing

I hate Alec Baldwin immensely but I agree with you. It was incredibly stupid to pull the trigger while pointing at her but I don't think he deserves 5 years in prison. In fact with the insane budgets of these movies I've never understood why they can't just make replicas that aren't even capable of being fired, blanks not needed. frick having to depend on some armorer not to whoopsie daisy one day
Now if Halyna's family hired somebody to break his legs, I'm all for that

Good thing he didn’t pour water over his brother’s head, then he would be facing jail time for sure.
Posted on 2/21/23 at 3:18 pm to FlagLake
Don`t be fooled.
The DA is letting him off easy, he should be charged as the manager responsible and the trigger puller.
2 separate charges.
