bullshite!!!!

Cheetos motherfricker.

If a bag of those is in my house I will eat them. You will not injure people in a car after eating Cheetos but other than that there are many similarities.

OP hope you find some help. AA included God in which step? And why are people so hung up on it. It is a step people can but into or not. No? The other 11 steps can get you where you need to be?

2,3,5,7 and 11. And an argument could be made for a few others.

Maybe, but not too many steps left.

Damn. Honestly only time I can drink on weekday is if I know I can come into work late like around 12 or 1. Which is hardly ever.

I just can't do it. I need sleep after drinking.

I am not bragging.. Just making a statement that some can drink everyday and not be as effected as others...

By the way, I'm not in AA. I've been, and was in it for 6 months. It wasn't for me. I've gotten other treatment and am doing much better than I did then.

I still screw it up, but with much less regularity and am more responsible when I do.

When the chemicals in someones brain causes them to have urges that possibly put their life at risk, you think they are being WEAK?

Yes, as a matter of fact I do. Is it purely a chemical reaction in the brain that brings on suicidal thoughts or is it people that are hooked on and abuse anti-depressants that are an alarming majority of suicides? Is being dependent on an outside chemical (which is a mental weakness in it's own right) like Prozac to combant depression not making you weak and making those suicidal thoughts intensify? Why are suicide rates alarmingly high amongst young adults aged 18-25? Is it because they havent come into their own and arent MENTALLY STRONG enough to be their own person?

The crazy people who have ridiculous plastic surgery - you think they are normal?

No, I think they are incredibly self-conscious and use "look-at-me" tactics as a way to cope with their insecurities.
quote:

The girl who throws up everything she eats, she seems like a well-adjusted individual?

Seriously? Insecurity once again and a lack of self acceptance.
quote:

The parent who lost an infant and considers suicide should just "get over it" right?

That is completely different than anything listed above as a traumatic event happened, but yes, eventually if that parent wouldnt get over it, it would completely ruin the future remaining life that the person has along with the rest of the family. How much time it takes for a person to grieve, that's up to the individual. Some may never come out of grievance or a semi-mourning state and that is up to them.

You are callous

Perhaps I am, but dont think for one second that I havent been through a ton of adverse shite in my life as well. One way or another, I chose to not make an excuse and plowed right through it.

PTSD? I have no reason to deal with that. I can however sympathize with a soldier that's seen his buddys get blown to pieces by landmines having a tough time adjusting.

Honest question....

How serious are you about quitting???

I hope you are able to continue some kind of treatment and that all works out for you...BUT it seems that you are saying that you slip ALOT... That's why I ask how serious you are...

Almost all of them. It is the crux of their program. You can't do the program without believing in God/Higher Power/Whatever.

This is like arguing that cancer isn't real because it gets funding from... Someone?

Honestly, I'm not sure what you're even talking about.

One hand washes the other. Do you think doctors would push Zoloft if pharmaceutical companies didnt pay them to?

It's a very subjective higher power.
