Alcohol Rules in Destin

Headed to Destin on Thursday for an extended weekend with the wife. I know it's still "spring break" season and some beaches are banning alcohol for everyone, 21 or not. Is destin/Miramar beach doing the same? Can't seem to find a clear cut answer online.
We're both in our late 20's so not underage. I just don't want to get hauled off to jail for sipping on a few brews on the beach.

Try Pensacola or Navarre Beach instead.

Pretty sure the bans were just for the month of March

I may be mistaken, but I thought this was a rule only on public beaches. The condos I've been to, all sell alcohol right by the beach. They're not giving up that revenue.

i just wouldn't have glass bottles

In Panama City the ban only applies for march, I imagine destin is the same but double check. It's Okaloosa county

Take the short drive to seaside and drink with the rich folk... leave those young hooligans behind
You're welcome

Just have cans, a koozie, and don't act like an idiot. They're not going to look in or ask you what's in your ice chest like you're hiding crime scene evidence

You have a problem if you can't have a good time at t he beach without getting drunk.

Even if it is, make a big yeti (yes, trashy) drink and don't act like a child and they'll leave you alone. 9/10 if you don't bother them they won't bother you.

So much this. I flew a kite and had just as much fun as I did when I was drinking. I didn't get laid or have any cool stories, but just knowing how responsible I am was enough.

You have a problem if you cannot enjoy a few ice cold brews on the beach without getting drunk.

Wrong. People make themselves fat by being lazy and overindulgent.

No one said anything about getting drunk. A trip to the beach with my wife, without our kids, is one of the most relaxing days. Sit in a chair, drink cold beer, and just no responsibilities. I'm not there to have fun, I'm there to kick back and not have any worries.
