Alarm System?

I have ADT with no cameras and just 2 door sensors that is costing me $45 a month. I want to get a new system and have been looking at these new home all in one devices that do not charge a monthly fee. I am getting lost as there are many of these new alarm/camera technology devices out. Anyone have any experiences or preferences with any of these new systems? Thank you

Get some decent sized dogs that don't like strangers. They'll be all the alarm system you need.

Bought Simplisafe system last year. Love it. Cameras will be available for the system "soon".

Ditch ADT for a local company. Anything worth a damn is going to have a monthly monitoring fee. You could be getting so much more than that for $45 a month.

Hell we have more that that from ADT for a few dollars cheaper.

Vivint. Got door sensors, 5 glass break sensors, thermostat, keyless front door lock and outside camera that takes a snapshot and sends to your phone if something/someone comes with 30 feet when active. All for $60 per month.

But your own wireless system. Install yourself. Use alarm relay for monitoring. You'll be SHOCKED by how much you save. If you can post on here you can install a modern wireless system.

Same here. Somebody accidently set it off and had call in about 20 seconds.

Good luck canceling an agreement with adt. They will require you to pay out the duration of the contract.
