If that's the case, it's even worse in that they are a representative of Turner on a paying client's property.

Would "Obama 2012" bumper stickers be grounds for firing at Turner? I'm guessing the HR Dept is jotting a lot of these scenarios on a yellow pad as I type.

You should never threaten to fire an employee. You either fire them or don't. You are putting them in fear of losing their job thus giving them ammo to sue your arse.

Dumb.

No, Obama stickers and the people who would display them aren't on the side of people that's PC to offend.

Yeah...me either.

Me either .... but I never flew anything but the U.S. flag. I never wanted to fly rebel flag. Even if I wanted to I wouldn't because my black friends and co-workers might take it the wrong way.

I always thought the meaning behind it was the south will rise again. It did. Black and white rebuilt it.

The school district I work for has in the handbook that employees can be fired for controversial bumper stickers driven to work. In 16 years I have yet to see anyone push the issue on either side.

Turner has the right to demand certain things from their employees and it is well within their rights to ask him not to fly a rebel or gay pride flag on their vehicle while representing Turner.

Secondly, no where in the article does it state that Simms vehicle was anywhere other than Turner's parking lot. For all we know Simms drives to Turner and then loads up in a crew truck to head to the work site.

No because it's against the law to discriminate based on political beliefs. It would be ok to tell them that it's 2015 though.

In one of 9 states that celebrate "Confederate Memorial Day " as a state holiday (?), yes.
