I'll have some leftover masks any of you Democrat controlled state residents can swing by the house tomorrow and get.
Eta: dammit, mask mandate extended until April 9. But (snicker) she said she will not extend it any further past April 9

Alabama Governor Kay Ivey is expected to make an announcement Thursday at 11:00 a.m. to give an update on the state's mask mandate and health order.

All along, Governor Ivey has made clear that she prefers personal responsibility to government mandates. We are optimistic that our state is heading in the right direction, and we still have some work to be done.

In a statement Wednesday, Lieutenant Governor Aimsworth urged Ivey to let the health order and mask order expire.

Gov. Ivey has extended the mask mandate to April 9th, but it sounds like she is not planning to extend it again.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Governor Kay Ivey announced on Thursday she would extend Alabama's statewide mask order through April 9th, but vowed she would not keep the order in effect past that date.
Ivey said the decision would allow businesses time to implement changes to the health orders which have impacted so many facets of life in Alabama since March 2020.

I'm going to have to check out Twitter if she ends it. Alabama people have already been losing their shite on local news tweets about Arkansas, Texas, and Mississippi.

I’ll believe it when I see/hear it from Barner Meemaw herself.

I’m not going to applaud any politician that removes these mandates. They never should have been implemented in the first place.

Meanwhile, Louisiana is stuck with Smack Smack.

I teared up a bit tonight thinking of how great this summer will be.
We will feel the flesh of others again. We will be embracing our loved ones in the heat and haze. Enjoy it. It will be the single greatest feeling of victory since the Japanese surrendered.
The national psyche will be healed. The ranks of the employed will swell, while unemployment recedes. Business owners will see their registers fill.
The elderly and the vulnerable will be protected with a miracle of man's own creation.
All of this will be happening under the beautiful blue of summer days and radiant orange and gentle cream of summer evenings.
Savor the laughter and the joyful din that will be rising in the east with the summer sun.
There will never be another season like it. Everywhere you look, in all shapes and forms, people will find out how to live again. And they can do it without worrying about the microscopic menace from the orient.
We will feel the flesh of others again. We will be embracing our loved ones in the heat and haze. Enjoy it. It will be the single greatest feeling of victory since the Japanese surrendered.

Louisiana going to be the only southern state still mandating masks and about 5k people for LSU games this fall. That's right. JBE going to put an even stricter mandate on your fools come fall time.

Where’d you get that GIF from?
Posted on 3/3/21 at 11:20 pm to deuce985
JBE wants a cabinet position. He’ll do whatever they tell him to.
