Typically it's easier to make this argument if you know the person acting in good faith is a total retard.
Probably. Also if he has an a history of acting appropriately.

did the civil case have some other ruling that influenced the jurors to conclude this shooting was justified? I can't see 12 jurors ruling this was justified and not awarding the victim some compensation...but i guess its possible
I don't believe there was a trial by jury. From what I can tell the defendant had it dismissed prior to trial by claiming qualified immunity.

Every argument you've made has been refuted with ease multiple times, but your dumb arse keeps going round and round and moving the goalposts. I'm just about convinced you're a Chicken altar trying to drum up clicks on a dreary Monday.
You don't seem very intelligent. I'm sorry.

This is a good argument. Why do you think a judge justified the shooting then?
When do they not? It's very rare for it to be ruled as unjustified.
This is the problem.

because this incident shows he's too trigger-happy to attend a minor accident.
and how is anyone cleared of any wrongdoing here?

I'd bet I'm much more intelligent than you. We can use IQ or academic credentials. Whichever criteria you prefer.

Because no one has to argue if there was an actual danger, just if the officer felt there was one.
He could have imagined the driver was a pink monster that was going to eat him, and if the court though it was true that he thought that, then he walks.

No but when the victim lost his appeal they ordered him to pay over $15,000 in court costs.

That guy must have had a shitty lawyer if he lost the case

I still can't get over how they ordered the victim to pay $15 grand in court coats when he lost appeal. Stay out of Alabama y'all!!!

based on the court ruling it was ruled that he was reasonable to conclude the victim had a gun...do you dispute that?
100% I do. This trooper should be charged with attempted murder.

case went before a Grand jury and he was aquitted
Which is a joke because the DA is the only side presenting whatever evidence he wants to. He could have witheld the videotape and no one would have known. He's not obligated to present all evidence, just what he wants to.
A lot of times they bring on very friendly faces to compel the GJ to no bill a case... Friends, families, wives who are scared for their husbands not coming home, also fellow officers saying he was a stand up officer make it difficult to indict.
Also, it's the perfect way to bury a case because GJ transcripts are secret and sealed.

the civil case was filed in december
And I am guessing after getting the case dismissed, it was appealed to the CoA, where it lost again.
