agree, and really its not that hard to get to all things considered, and pricing wise can be comparable, just look up what condos go for in pensacola.

AirBNB's CEO is buddies with Musk and recently joined DOGE. So it's a bunch of butthurt Democrats doing their "resisting."

AirBNB’s leadership were pretty liberal in the past and went full into blm and so on. That’s just more proof how far Dems have moved left since 2020 away from some liberals and moderates not those like Musk & other former Dems shifting more right (true moderates not OTs pretending to be moderates).

Dems unleashed the crazies to be their outraged version of the Brownshirts after November 2016 but lost control of them causing many party leaders to have to shift from being liberals to leftists. They created a monster that they can’t control.

Drop your rate and you attract the real winners of the world . I see it with my neighbors every weekend . They stay about 80% booked but man is the clientele is rough !

Who cares if your neighbors have a bunch of fatties with a lot of tattoos staying there? Or have you brought a black light in there and seen splotches all over the bedroom, pillow cases, carpet, wallpaper, kitchen counter, dining room table, couches, lay-z-boy, washer, dryer, and other places you may not even expect a baw to do the deed?

I debated posting to defend Galveston, but what the hell. We bought a place on Follets Island right across San Luis Pass from Galveston and it's been phenomenal for us. We can be at our place down there in an hour from downtown Houston. My kids are under 5 and we are down there almost every weekend. They can run around freely, ride bikes, etc. without me having to worry. It gets them exposed to nature which is important to us. Water and sand aren't as nice as Florida, but it's accessible and fun.

It's pretty much empty on the beach year round where our place is, you almost have the beach to yourself anytime you are down there. I would say a lot of people who went to Galveston once and hated it probably went on some holiday weekend where it was packed. I can wake up and jog on the beach or surf fish for sunrise and have the beach to myself except for one or two people camping. We are on the bay so we crab, fish all day, hit the beach if we want, or take the kids to Galveston to do stuff (aquarium at Moody is better than the one in New Orleans). I can just throw all our stuff in a golf cart and drive onto the beach with little effort and spend the afternoon/sunset on the beach. If the kids decide after an hour they want to do something else, it takes 3 min to throw their crap back in the golf cart and drive back home. As previously mentioned, bonfires on the beach and surf fishing at night is a blast. Night flounder gigging or just paddleboarding around on the bay is phenomenal because you're alone out there. I can also just hop on the jet ski and be out to the tankers in 20 min, trolling for mahi when the weather is calm.

We are looking at places right down the street from you in Treasure Island on the Bay side. I want to be able to keep a boat down there. Glad your kids like it, that is one of the main reasons we are looking. I want to get our kids out of the city and into nature whenever possible.

May just hang tight and see how low the prices will go lol.
