Insanity to set it that low when it’s 95F outside
Care to explain why it is insanity?

What do you consider to be the optimum temperature setting when the outside temperature is 95 degrees?

Runs to Walmart and purchases a small heating pad. Hang heating pad over thermostat.

One of our conference rooms was always much colder than every other room. Turns out the thermostat was next to the microwave.

I am fine with it being stopped at 67 due to possible damage. I am not ok with it being stopped at 74 (encountered this in a mountain cabin in North Carolina) because they are cheap.

I would do a charge back on my credit card and leave a 1 star review on every possible site I could find.

If you can't afford air conditioning don't go into the Airbnb business.

Personal preference is not the issue. I don't care what others do.

I actually don't care what airbnbs choose to do as long as they disclose it. I get angry when I wasn't able to make an informed decision.

Mine would freeze up if I tried to keep it as cool as most people. I went without AC one summer so this isn’t bad

Just a reminder that the south is not livable without AC.

That's not real - the host would get so many 1 star ratings that no one would rent their place ever again

if you keep your AC set at 80 in New Iberia during the summer something is seriously wrong with you

You tell them it’s a safety issue and you will.

We booked one for a wedding got to it and it was bordering on the hood. We left got a Hampton and Airbnb gave me my money back.

After that I was done trying to pick through shite to save money. I’ll spend more stay at a hotel and get the points.

67 is as crazy as 80 IMO.
75/76 during the day is fine to me.
73/74 at night.
Maybe a bit lower.

Why the hell would he do that?

The point is to get people to want to stay at your place, come back and recommend to others.

Some people are just stupid… smh

Airbnb seems to be getting worse and worse. In fact, I had some issues last week in which I couldn’t get any money back even though the house had couches parked out front and the house location wasn’t even close to correct. I’m hotels or an actual rental company from now on.
