Planning bachelor party. Air bnb sleeps 10, we have 10 people, but for every person after 7 guests we’re billed an extra dollar amount. It’s almost double than the original price. Do you put the actual number of guests you’re bringing or do you put in a lesser amount?

You are asking if you should lie on the application to save money. This is why we can't have nice stuff.

I always put the actual amount because half the time the owners live nearby and might notice.

They exaggerate how many it sleeps the same way you exaggerate how few people are coming.

If you are legit bringing 10, get a place that sleeps 14.

contact them and tell then you like their place, but are bringing 10 people and it's out of your range at what they're charging. They'll probably hook you up to get that rental $.

I’m not worried about moral compass I just don’t want to be hit with a fine a week later saying we know you had more people than you said you were bringing.

They can kick you out if you bring more than listed.

I can understand this happening, but what I’m saying is why growing up, for a hotel room you would put 2 and your kids would stay there obviously and you would just leave them off the bill. Now with air bnb if you don’t count everyone you’re an a-hole.

I know. And with my group they wouldn’t need to be there long.

Do you really want to be the guy who tried to save a few bucks and ruined half the bachelor trip by getting y’all kicked out?

Also if it’s one of the houses that have no host, you’ll be fine. If they are around then I wouldn’t even try it

when Dad checked into Holiday Inns in the 1970s and 80s, we had to hide in the back seats. Then as we left the car for the room, my brothers and I had to wear this big horse costume.

Or maybe that was a Scooby Doo episode.
