There really is no need for any more H1B visas to ever be issued.
This is really key. No matter what sidewalk wants us to believe, humans are still needed and there are plenty of Americans to do it.
There is no need for bad H1B IT people, AI can churn out crap code as well as Indians.
In a fair world, AI should make everything become cheaper. Especially in the medical world. IT should streamline the insurance mess, and also free up doctors to see more patients and allow for even AI level triage before bringing in human medical personel.
AI cannot replace all the jobs, it collapse the economy. We will find the balance, like we always have.

It’d be cool if ai could do something useful like fold clothes but if it puts parasites on society like pencil pushers and lawyers out of work maybe it is good

So, what are the company names? I don't get your outrage but anonymity of the culprit.

Who is going to hire all of the blue collar workers if all of the white collar workers have been replaced by AI?
Contractors are going to build houses for AI? They’re going to install electricity in the new restaurants that all the AI is going eat at? They’re going to manufacture watches and repair cars for the AI?
Also these same people are working on humanoid robots simultaneously. Once they get them up and running you think they can’t combine them with AI to do blue collar work? AI will be able to replace doctors and lawyers but not know how to fix a Toyota or snake a drain?
Either this is all hyperbole and AI is overblown, or it’s coming for everyone and collectively we will have to decide whether we ban it/restrict it, go to full UBI, or live in a dystopia.
People living in this fantasy world that it will come for “the other type of jobs, but not my job” is living in a fantasy world.
