He'll be saying that aftermarket is the way to go if he moves to a dealership that sells mainly aftermarket.

The funny thing is that he might even believe whatever bullshite that he spews. They intentionally go for the dumb ones, bc they are easier to put together.

Eta: I had an acquaintance that had gotten a warranty for 3200. When he found out that I could have helped, he was upset, thinking he had lost out on a better deal.

We cancelled that warranty and got the exact same one for $9**. It would have even been cheaper if we had bought it originally and the prorated refund of the expensive warranty hadn't hurt him some.

I did. It was a huge PITA getting them to pay for even the simplest thing. Never again

best deal will be the one at your credit union

1. need to keep vehicle a long time to justify
2. vehicle needs to be one with lots of electronics
3. Warranty has to cover everything except maintenance

Any other scenario may not make sense

Thermostat on truck because of weird design (take half the engine apart!) cost 400,

If you buy and sell every 60-70 K no don't buy one

I put 150+K on every truck I've ever owned.
