After service, vehicle returned with new problem. Eat it?

[Edited to correct make of Envoy]
Brought 2003 GMC Envoy to local dealership for service - replaced power steering core, front brakes to include new calipers, and "full diagnostics" (wife no pics was talked into this). $1,200 later, get vehicle back and speedometer doesn't work. Their response is your panel went out (has a fault), not our fault. Worked fine when we brought it in.
Went to dealer in lieu of random mechanic because we bought a vehicle from them last summer and have had a good experience thus far. They also service our GMC which we purchased a few years ago out of the area.
I realize sales and service are separate departments, but we've spent ~ $45K on sales and $ 2K on service at this place in the past year alone. Service Manager was instantly combative and condescending and basically told me to get bent when I went in on Friday to address the issue in person.
It's a $500 part, plus labor. Weird thing is, speedometer (plastic needle) doesn't work, but odometer (digital) does. Sounds like it could be the cable, but I'm no mechanic.
What would your response be in this situation?

Maybe.
Yes 2003. Original owner. Is basically a beater car for baseball and running bulky stuff to the dump.

I love it. That's why I still have it!

There is no good reason I can think of to take a 15 year old car to the dealership other than a recall.

Talk to the dealership manager or owner, complain to Chevy directly, complain on the dealerships social media accounts.
Or just suck it up and never go there again, that is my typical response. Take it to a mechanic you trust or that your friends trust.

It is highly possible that a 15 year old vehicle would have the speedometer go out, just bad timing. What would you like the dealer to do in order for you to be satisfied. Replace the speedometer free of charge? Free labor on the repair? Just a $200 discount?

2003 Chevy Envoy...?
There's your problem...

GMC was the Envoy... Chevy was the Trail Blazer.. They hadn't made those in 10 years huh..?

You sounds like a beta.

One of your servos is out. Entire unit needs to be rebuilt. There are folks who do this for about $200 online.
As for the customer service you received, speak to a manger it leave a shitty review.

Google your location, make/model speedometer gauge cluster repair. Cost is about $70 if you take the cluster out. Other option is to send it to someone on ebay that can do the repair and ship it back to you.
Ebay

To the serious replies, I'd like the dealership to acknowledge my value as a customer and talk me though their logic - not just, we didn't break it, you're fricked, go away, from a surly service Manager.
Thanks for the input.

Just get rid of it as fast as you can. You bought a piece of junk. Seriously, dump it.

You're only as valuable as the money you're willing to fork over.
My advice is to go balls to the wall and threaten negative reviews on google and other service rating websites. That might get someone's attention enough to get you a resolution.

Talk to the owners and/or GM. Cause what the people in the business call a "heat case". The service manager doesn't give a shite about you.
