Did not take it that way in the least bit. You know your stuff and have an incredibly tough job. I have never worked in USAREC (thankfully). I am right behind you brother. Reach MRD in 2021 and taking it to the house. Thanks for your service.

They tried to hold me back until my strep throat cleared up. I looked at the medical officer and told him i got cold feet and doubts right now so if you make me wait anymore time i will not be joining. He said ok just finish up the medication you got while in boot camp. Good luck and theres nothing to worry about.

don't join the military unless you plan on going officer route. defiantly not worth 4-5 years of hating life and getting paid like shite

he got a great contract that’s only good for 7 more days. He got combat medic school and airborne

he can get the same thing later. if they don't, go to another recruiting office or wait.

treat these guys like used car salesmen because that's what they are.

Wow man, some of us were pretty much forced into that job field.

Not all of us treat recruiting like selling cars, you piece of shite.

Don't go spouting off at the mouth with your shite opinion if you never sat in that chair.

coulda pushed boots instead. not that it's much better.

just telling the op that if his son can't get the same contract, then the recruiter is full of shite. may have to wait a bit or w/e, but he can still get the same job. just get what ya want.

Have him sign as 18D, he’ll get to airborne soon!

Don't sign unless it has his MOS...which it will, it's the other add ons like airborne that he needs to pay attention for.

Don't let him sign unless he gets EXACTLY what he wants. He should be prepared to walk if he doesn't. He should absolutely at least go Airborne. I was Airborne back in the day and doing that was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made. I didn't plan to do that at MEPS either. The guy just asked "you wanna be a paratrooper"? I said "yes I do". To that point I hadn't considered it. I'm so glad I did.
