I did see a mallard duck on my bike ride today. He was sitting really close to the bike path on the grass and gave me an evil scowl as I rode by.

I had about 5 witty responses pop up in my head at once but after going through them one at a time I realize that if you were in front of me, 4 out of the 5 would get me slapped and the 5th would require a kick in the nuts.

Nope. Like they said, her story was that she was getting married amd I believe it.

Rag took this crap too seriously and acted out like a 14 year old girl. It's cool to mess with people from time to time but he had an unhealthy obsession with crossing lines and I think it went beyond silly message board fodder.

You haven't. I know enough about you to know you're not a mean IRL person. No one has done anything here that really hurt me. I've said things looking back I regret. Especially after getting to know the person online more.
Fwiw, when you die suddenly, and OweO starts a thread about how terrible a person you were, and everyone comes and piles on, I will knight for you as well.

I'm naïve at times so maybe others clearly saw he was bullshitting when he mentioned his "family" and I wasn't in on the joke?
I don't think anyone clearly saw he was bullshitting or truly had him figured out. At first, I thought he was a "leader" on the board. To a degree, he set standards on the board. If someone did something, he would dictate if the action was accepted or frowned upon.
The one thing people would go after him with was how much he posted, but he would shut that down right away. He made going after how much someone posted a "last resort" insult that people would use because they had nothing else to go after him on and that the whole point of the MB was to post so how much someone posted was irrelevant.
Also, looking back at it, I think he would say things to certain posters, that he might have established as a joke with them, but was easily assumed as truth. For example, him knowing (hanging out with) people from the board IRL. If he did that on purpose, as part of validating himself as a poster, it was actually kind of brilliant, but you were not any more naive than others.

He was definitely a little bitch on y'alls ban bet and he showed it. Talked shite about the Cotton Bowl, then really didn't want to back it up. Then, wouldn't honor the bet.
He was a master of deflection, twisting words, changing the subject, all to not be held to his word.
A lot of shite for a message board. But maybe that's the most important thing that he felt he had in his life.
