Why you living in a 3-2 while single??

My favorite part of losing everything I owned was how easy it made my next 3 moves.

Sell all your crap and start new.

The guy I bought my house from got a uhaul that was too small. He had to unload it and rent a bigger one and load it again.
I actually helped that dumbass because I felt bad for him.

Fill your car up with all the personal belongings/sentimental/breakable stuff and drive to your new house. Rent a truck from there and drive it back to your old house…stop at a local Home Depot and pick up 2 day workers offer to pay them $$100 each and lunch…have them load up your truck with you directing them…
Drive to new house stopping at local Home Depot to pick up two different day workers…get them to unload…return van to place you rented it.
Cheapest and less work way to go.

Get the biggest UHaul you can. It fills us fast and if you have extra room you can just tie it off.
Load big things first with your heaviest things in the front of the truck.

In Oxford, I was making $20k a year on Airbnb. It just kind of worked out that it was effective doing it this way.

Nice. I had never been to Ocean Springs before last month and I really liked it. I got a place about a mile from downtown and am excited. It's a clean looking town.

Downtown OS is the gem of the Coast.
Is your place east or north of downtown?

Don't Airbnb's do well in Oxford? They need to be furnished. Try that.

East, 1-2 miles down Government.

I just moved from Nola to Minneapolis in January. My advice is if its not a family heirloom or extremely valuable furniture then don't bother moving it. It's not nearly worth the moving cost.

Haven’t read thru the thread, but i have moved around an awful lot, so i got that goin’ for me.. When Ted Bundy was in the electric chair, he said to me ‘Dude, you move around a lot .’
My advice would be to use a service like Two Men and a Truck.. not neccessarily that company, but one like it, as opposed to like an Allied, mayflower etc which will literally eat up any pay raise you might be getting by moving for anew job…. I stopped using TMAAT though b/c of the piece of advice im about to give: Above all, make sure that you hire a moving company with a FLAT RATE, not hourly.. most TMAAT franchises have gone to an hourly only model, and they’ll tell you all about how they work fast and efficient, but it’s BS and youll be sweating bullets while they’re lollygagging on the clock.. there are moving companies, mostly mom and pop, who do local and long distance moves and will quote you a flat rate .
All that said, the next time i move im gonna try something a little different; Uhaul stores - where i usually buy moving boxes- also offer same day services where they’ll rent you a truck and then rent you a couple guys to load it .. THEN you drive the truck to your destination at the other end of your move, they’ll rent you a couple guys to unload it.. this removes the BS of having to do it urself and all the friends/family clusterfrick .

Yep, insanity. "Hey, come spend a weekend when you're usually free to do as you please to likely hurt your back so you can help me lift couches."
Paying movers has been the best money we've ever spent.
If you value your time you'll realize it's not that costly. Every time people do the Uhaul/family deal it seems to turn into a prolonged move. Paying movers and it's done in a day.

Only real way I found that works is to make enough improvements to your current place before selling it to pull a chunk off the top of that sale to fund the moving.
