Adults on ladders at parades

I know it's been discussed before, but I hadn't experienced it until yesterday. What a bunch of assholes. I can understand the people with young children who want to get some beads, but why set up towards the front? Shouldn't you go further back to not obstruct anyone's view? Ruins the whole experience. I saw more adults on ladders without children than those with them.
They had a group of black ppl move in front of a white lady on a ladder and the lady got mad and one of the black guys starts yappin like "ima fricking show you! Ima get in front of you" Of course the white ppl around acted appalled but I was sittin there like amen bro.
TL;DR if you bring a ladder to a parade you're an a-hole

Only time I've ever seen a ladder at a parade was years ago in NOLA (no, I don't go to parades much anymore). Somebody knocked the ladder over and the kid on it fell on top of me and my wife. Nobody got hurt, but I decided it was a bad idea to bring a ladder to a parade. I wouldn't want to be on one or have my kid on one in a crowd.

Ladders allow us to catch more good stuff than all the other people with out one.
I put casters on mine so it easy to take anywhere.

Never understood the big deal with the throws at parades. I get wanting to catch a Zulu coconut or something, but the rest if the stuff was always cheap plastic.

If you didn't grow up doing it as a kid, you'll likely never understand the fun of it. It looks absolutely ridiculous from the outside 
, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying it just as much at 30 as I did when I was 10.
The throws are much nicer than they used to be years ago though.

Go look at the Bourbon Street web cam it was cray-cray last night when I was watching it. Ladies showing tits and getting big beads, no tits maybe small beads.

I think ladders are a good way to teach kids they have to plan for life in order to get ahead. The good ladders are about $100, ain't no poor people getting one of those.
Wealth breeds wealth and it is no more noticeable than in the ladders at Endymion.

I did grow up doing it as a kid. But I quit being a kid around 34 years ago. Quit worrying about catching throws at that point.
To each his own tho. I ain't judging or finding fault with you. At least the quality of the throws has apparently improved. Enjoy the parades.
