don't get locked in a contract...I am in this field and there are others you could go with...you could literally install more than half of the equipment yourself if you have any technical ability at all...

No idea, but I hope not. The same 5 or so cops patrol during the day, 5 in the afternoon/early night, and another 5 patrol at night/early morning. It's a small area for them, so they have fast response times. I've spoken with a bunch of them, and they all enjoy the pace around here. They are pretty much all of the same dudes and one chick that have been here since I moved in 3 years ago

I did an ADT deal for like $47 per month (no cameras, etc. just your typical window and door alarms with cellular unit). If you already have a system, it's wayyyyyy cheaper to go with someone else. But they installed the system for free, so with whatever contract, it basically came out the same as having another company install, and then monitor for cheaper. They knocked on my door, so they got the work.
One thing to be weary of is that the company who is installing is probably not ADT. Its a contract company and the installation probably falls under them. So if you have issues with hardware, I think ADT basically tells you tough luck and you have to deal with a company willing to have college kids walk the streets to get business. I think the company that did mine was probably out of business by the time my contract was up.

I have ADT. Is anybody else having problems with the app not working?
