Gary is a true patriot and hero. Got the opportunity to meet him at one of our SkyView Balls that American Airlines puts on every year to support Veterans. Even got one of his foundation challenge coins. I've also had several friends who are pilots for AA that have flown the Snowball Express. It's a privilege to be able to give something back to families who have lost so much. The expression on the kids faces will stay with you for a lifetime.

As a parent who brought kids to Disney at a discounted rate (due to corporate donations and such) after their dad came back from Afghanistan (only injured) I can fully attest to the world of good it does for the kids. My children are mid to late 20s and we went when they were elementary school age and they still talk about that trip!

the trip involved 1,000 Gold Star children and their surviving parents or guardians, more than 1,750 people altogether
and they were all in line in front of me
