And the for-profit, privately owned and operated facilities that have come to replace them are out of reach for most of the people they are supposed to serve. On top of that, they don't seem to be held to the same standards we had in place for public hospitals. The care varies widely.
The truth of the matter is that for the majority of people who need help, the responsibility for helping them has now fallen on county jails which are already understaffed, overcrowded, and largely incapable of caring for those people.

Of course drugs happen. That private schools are drug factories. That has nothing to do with what I said. People aren’t doing drugs in the middle of class like public schools fights. You can avoid drugs and be insulated from them if you want to be at private school.
Show me one example of a fight like that happening at a Christian private school not named Redemptorist.

What a stupid statement. Medicaid spends billions on rehab centers and mental health. More than ever before. I know someone who owns several and it’s a cash cow. Funny how increasing spending hasn’t helped one bit.

I find it hilarious that parents think they are sheltering their kids from these things by sending them to a private school
At TCU the biggest drug using partiers came from private schools. One of my football teammates went to an exclusive private school in the Austin area, quit football to join a frat, got really into drugs and hung himself a couple years later. I bet his parents really got a big return on that investment.
