I certainly dont think its a bad idea, I just think its funny these nations Progressives idolize are far more homogeneous and have stronger social control than we do.

All the alternatives they give as superior examples to the US are always the Scandinavian countries with small populations

Totally agree, I point this out when border issues come up. People on the left loved Australia for Covid, but they have incredibly strict border controls and off shore holding facilities if you arrive by boat illegally. No one would talk about that. Iceland and other nordic countries have homogeneous populations and strict admission criteria, whenever I point this out some leftist says "we are America, we need to be better".

You are spot on with the other statement. As long as crazies are roaming freely in our society, and as long as our laws regarding gun purchases and whatnot are not properly enforced, we are not safe.
So the worst school shooting was a guy with a hand gun.
And a guy with an suv killed more people.
You see with these crazies potential bomb plans. So if they dont get a gun, they will use something else to inflict just as much damage.
My problem is you guys arent actually backing this up. We have so many examples of such carnage being done without a fricking semi auto rifle that is modeled after an AR.

I have been saying this forever. The anti-gun people don't think through their argument completely.
Personally, I think it makes sense to surgically remove every penis in the US. because every one is a potential rape weapon and we all know it's the penis' fault when it happens,and not the person it is attached to. .

good analogy. That car owner had to go through testing to get a license in order to drive, then register her car and keep that registration up to date on a yearly basis
