Plenty of options for custom ordering online to ship. But wanted to see if anyone knew of a location in the BR Area to purchase the foam/fabric options directly?

TIA

I did. And I'm familiar with them. They don't sell acoustical panels. Just ceiling tiles and custom ceiling solutions.

I make my own. Owens Corning 703 rigid fiberglass from Amazon, black fabric from Hobby Lobby, and pine boards. Cheaper and works better than anything you can buy commercially.

Harbor Freight moving blankets. Should help. But if you are torturing someone you may want a better solution.

Absorption, diffraction or both?

Either way if you are reasonably handy build your own. It is much easier to get exactly what you need by doing this. Commercial acoustic treatments are outrageously priced.

For absorption panels, Owens Corning 703 (of the appropriate depth for the frequencies you want to absorb) , a wood frame, and covered with GOM (Guilford of Maine) FR701 fabric.

Diffraction is a little more difficult to design and build but a lot cheaper than commercial.

I don't know how to do quotes, but this guy knows his s***. Soundproofing is insanely expensive.

You’re not that good a rapper. You’re parents won’t like you building a rap studio in their garage.

I use foam spray and plywood. The neighbors can't hear the screams anymore
