They should be.

Does it have to be an IAH type airport or would Tulsa International be enough

Last place I worked it needed to be a hub for one airline or another, but Tulsa would be fine in practice. They are looking to avoid the "I can't fly out until Tuesday because that's the only day there's service from Springfield, MO to Chicago" kind of stuff. A commute to ATL/IAH was always better than a commute downtown.

My H.S. (with 20 people in my senior class) used to play Prosper in football. Prosper and Anna were both little country towns.

No its not. For the people that actually are from Tx they think there shite don't stink! They really believe Tx is Bigger and better in everyway. They think they are another country and if they could they would breakaway from the rest of the usa.
With that being said Theres tons of great jobs, a shite ton to do. And the list goes on and on.

i'm sorta in the camp that I don't necessarily hate Texas, but their "better than you" attitude about certain things is annoying... but there is a lot to like about Texas too... i can see why people would live there, but it just ain't for me... don't mind visiting every now and then, but i couldn't live there permanently...

Rockwall County was formed in 1873 from portions of Kaufman County. It split off because access to the county seat of Kaufman was inconvenient

That’s lazy. So access to downtown Houston is majorly inconvenient from Tomball so should Tomball form its own county?

Mississippi has the least amount of foreigners and H1B visas and it isn’t even close. Mississippi is truly the promised land and the most American state. Which is funny.

Didnt they just approve McKinney's airport to get expanded on?

They did and terminal could be open in 2026. I am glad McKinney stepped up and did this anyways, after the bond put forth failed 2 years ago.

The anti-bond group was basically funded by the rich cities of Fairview and Lucas, which are not even part of McKinney. Those cities are just south of McKinney airport. They spent some money scaring people.

Texas doesn't need "most people". They have more than enough wanting to move there.

That airport is going to see a lot of service from Frisco / Plano / McKinney / Prosper.

Will probably outgrow Love Field within 20 years.

It is going to be just a regional airport, so probably flights to hubs. Construction begins this June with operation in 2026. 3 gates, but expandable to 5.

No carriers are announced yet, but I doubt American or Southwest will be one. I can see United or Delta signing up. United flies into Hattiesburg, MS of all places

United to Denver and Chicago, Delta to Atl and SLC, would work. Throw in 2-3 Breeze routes.

They should do a summertime direct to Fort Walton or Panama City. That would fill up.

Like I mentioned earlier, Collin County has 1.2 million people and it is one of the fastest growing counties in the country. There is a lot of land for growth and it will probably eventually top Travis (Austin), Bexar (San Antonio), and Tarrant Counties (Fort Worth).

We can support a very large airport, if they wanted to go that route. Love field is a pain to get to and DFW was just a crap design.

Prosper, TX is a DFW exurb which means it's growing rapidly and has a lot of new construction.

Is this what the people that had to leave Louisiana to find a job mean when they say texas has “culture”
