Now lower the sales tax of normal goods. 10% is fricking ridiculous. 6-7%

Legalize weed and tax the frick out of it.

Increase property tax and have transparent allocation to clean up communities.

Go to an ISD based education system.

Why is all this shite so difficult? Easy fixes that could bring Louisiana into this century.

I say default, all the national debt is doing is enriching big banks to $400 billion in interest payments a year. You wanna talk about taxes? That's a helluva tax.

So jojo who made $25k this year on his w2 and went to H&R Block to get his taxes done is getting a few extra bucks back on his return.
Or anyone who uses Taxcut software. Even if they make a little more than 25k. And not named jojo

I'd rather a sales tax. At least welfare queens, illegals and drug dealers get to pay those too

10% sales tax is something poor, shitty states do

Lower them with higher property tax is something nicer, educated states do who actually have nice infrastructure. Texas does this... that’s the state the OT jerks off to on the reg

I'll never understand that mindset either. I want it legalized because of freedom. The drug war has been a total failure. The government doesn't need any more of our money.

Louisiana needs to rewrite the state constitution and remove stupid anti business taxes like the inventory tax. Our complicated corporate tax code costs the state jobs.

Until you can start attracting more businesses a 100 million here or there won't make a noticeable difference to anyone.

Yep. Variable income (wife plaintiff attorney) and made a good bit more in 2018 than 2017 and a lower tax liability for 2018. Very happy.
